Here is the finished upper denture. All the upper teeth have been removed and the denture was placed immediately in the mouth. I'll be making a new part lower denture soon because some lower teeth had to be extracted too. Immediate dentures are the trickiest to make because I have to guess the positions of the teeth. As you can see it worked out very well!
I've cut all the remaining teeth off the upper model and placed all the teeth using pink wax. Below is a photo of the acrylic teeth set into wax ready to be placed into the mould for final processing.
Here are the plaster models mounted ready to set up some teeth. The trial fitting is done to check that the bite is correct and also check the colour is suitable.
This lady has a few remaining teeth left. An oral surgeon is going to extract the remaining upper teeth and insert a full upper denture immediately. The denture will be made by me before the extractions. Below is a photo of the remaining teeth. Immediate dentures are the hardest to make because you can't be sure of the appearance until the denture is finished. I really have to take a guess as to the positioning of the teeth.
